NYC Engagement ~ Hilary + Max

Who doesn’t love NYC?!  It was a beautiful day yesterday and I had the pleasure of seeing Hilary and Max in the city for their engagement session.  We made the time to chat and catch up on all their wedding plans.  I have already gotten to know Hilary and it was a pleasure meeting Max, the mystery groom!  Here is a first look at Hilary and Max’s love story…

I am so excited for their wedding next month!  It is going to be amazing!  Wait and see…

Hugs,

Tessie

Bates House, Setauket Wedding ~ Casey + Doug

As a follow up to yesterday’s post on this gorgeous country chic wedding, I’d like to introduce the beautiful bride, Casey, and her handsome groom, Doug.  They had their wedding at the quaint and intimate Bates House in Setauket, New York.  Yes, there was rain in the forecast and it was perfectly timed to fall during their ceremony.  The sound of the rain falling on the tent that contained the couple and all of their guests was a beautiful soundtrack to Casey and Doug becoming husband and wife.

On a more personal note… I was moved when Casey told me that they chose the Bates House for their venue because it is a special place for the two of them.  She and Doug spend many a weekend there together taking long walks and talking.  Not to mention that their cute dog, Eva, is in their company.  She was even a part of their wedding day.  Take a look!

Congratulations to Casey and Doug!  Thank you for letting me in to visually narrate your gorgeous story on the day of your wedding!

Hugs,

Tessie

Country Chic Wedding ~ Casey + Doug

This was a wedding full of DIY that was a feast for the eyes!  Casey and Doug invested a lot of time into making their wedding personal and intimate.  Their theme – Country Chic.  There was burlap and lace… it wrapped Casey’s beautiful bouquet of roses …it decorated the invitations designed by Casey herself  …it graced the aisle for their outdoor ceremony and the tables for their reception …

There were mason jars…  some for drinks and  others that were made blue by Casey and Doug.  The large blue mason jars were scattered throughout the venue, filled with beautiful wildflowers, and adorned their reception tables.

Chalk boards, large and small, were scattered throughout the decor as well.  Casey and Doug will use the chalkboard that declared the menu for the affair, in their kitchen at home.

And these antique shutters were purchased and redone to hold the place cards for the seating arrangements.  The tables cards, also designed by the bride, were attached to the shutters with beautiful gold glitter covered clothespins.

The favors were the most fabulous DIY piece of the event.  Casey and Doug had these beautifully designed bottles house the homemade Vanilla extract they made for each of their guests

All of these details housed in this quaint venue that is a very special place for Casey and Doug.  Check tomorrow’s post for the story on the beautiful bride and her handsome groom!

The amount of love put into every little detail, to make this space truly their own on their wedding day, was undeniably felt.

I hope you enjoyed and marveled at all the DIY details as much as I did!

Hugs,

Tessie

Port Jefferson Engagement Session ~ Christen + Keith

Christen and Keith are getting married in just under a month and I can not wait for their wedding!  We spent last Sunday afternoon down in Port Jefferson celebrating their engagement with a photo session all about them!  When the warmth from the sun was swept away by a cool breeze, that was their cue to get even closer!  Take a look at our session in the town of Port Jefferson, New York.

Looking forward to Christen and Keith’s fabulous wedding this May – next month!

Hugs,

Tessie

Eastern Long Island Engagement ~ Molly + Ryan

Molly and Ryan are getting married this fall at one of our beautiful vineyards out here on Long Island.  We spent some time together last week to celebrate their engagement.  Molly is beautiful, sweet and outgoing with a smile that lights up a room.  Ryan is quiet, sincere (he laughs at my jokes) and just adores Molly.   Our session was all about their story.  It begins at the beach where Ryan proposed to Molly…

Afterwards we made a pit stop, just down the road, where Molly’s grandparents used to live. And then headed out to Bedell Cellars Winery on the North Fork of Long Island.  One of my favorite wineries to visit every fall! Our final destination was Love Lane in Mattituck where Molly and Ryan leave us with their story.

I can’t wait to to be a part of the gorgeous wedding they have planned for the fall!  Thank you Molly and Ryan for inviting me to document you!

Hugs,

Tessie
